- Tsunami Simulator
This link allows students to create their own tsunami. Students can experiment with how high the initial displacement of the water is, change the level of the shoreline, and be amazed by creating tsunamis at different heights. A great tool for showing the relationship of the depth of the water and the speed of the wave, as well as how energy is transferred through the wave.
- What is a Tsunami?

Here is the video showing the earthquake model demo.
- Youtube: Tsunami Wave Experiment Demo
Here is the demonstration of the tsunami wave simulation. If you notice in the video, I am using a ruler that has a small space before the 1 cm mark begins. I went back after the video and used a more accurate ruler. This worked better and used less water.
